Youth Board of Directors

| Members of the Chapter's Youth Board show off their new t-shirts. They wore these shirts to "Red Cross Day at the State House" which made them and the Red Cross visible to all who passed by! |
Since the founding of the Junior Red Cross in 1917, youth and the Red Cross have been partners. Today, involving young people in the Red Cross is more important than ever, and we are able to provide young people with opportunities for education, training, and volunteer/community service.
Several years ago the Granite Chapter (then Concord Area Chapter) developed a Youth Board of Directors. More than 30 teenagers representing 12 local high schools currently serve on the Youth Board. The Youth Board of Directors identifies and develops local service projects that will meet a community need, provides an opportunity for teens to learn and practice leadership skills and provides an opportunity to work and collaborate with teens form other schools.
Youth Board meetings are held regularly at the chapter office in Concord. For
more information on the Youth Board or to become involved, please call the
chapter or contact us by email at
info@redcross-concordnh.org - we look forward to having you join us!
