The Granite Chapter recently
honored several area businesses for their generous support of the Red Cross
services in New Hampshire. Maria White, NH Regional Executive Director,
presented each with a plaque designating the business as a member of the
American Red Cross Clara Barton Society, which includes donors of $1,000 or
more.
The New Hampshire businesses
honored during March – American Red Cross Month – are Rowley Insurance, Panera
Bread, Swenson Granite, Lincoln Financial, and Hannaford Supermarkets in six
communities.
“We are fortunate to be in a
state where businesses care so much for the communities where they live and
work,” said White. “By partnering with these companies, the Red Cross is better
able to provide NH residents with critical disaster relief, lifesaving skills
and Licensed Nurse Assistant training.”
To help
people affected by disasters like the recent December Ice Storm, individuals or
businesses can donate to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. On those
rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster,
contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
