New Regional Executive Director for the Chapter!
 The Granite Chapter of the American Red Cross has a new Regional Executive Director. Timothy F. Murray was appointed by the Chapter's board of directors to lead the organization.
Robert P. Gerseny, chair of the board, said that Murray "comes to the Chapter with a wealth of experience in leadership, program direction, and fundraising. We are fortunate to have him join the Red Cross team."
Previously Murray was the CEO of USI New England, an insurance brokerage firm with offices in NH, MA and RI. He also worked recently at the Diocese of Manchester.
Murray said he is looking forward to involvement with the Red Cross. "Much of my career has been in the profit sector. I want to apply the lessons I've learned in business management to the important humanitarian work of the American Red Cross."
Murray is involved with other non profit organizations as well. He is a board member of CASA of NH and the immediate past chair of the Board for Easter Seals NH. He is a 2004 graduate of Leadership NH and now sits on their board. He also volunteers at the Moore Center in Manchester.
Murray starts full time at the chapter on March 1. He and Eileen, his wife of 32 years, reside in Hopkinton. They have three grown children.
The Granite Chapter serves the Concord area, Lakes Region and North Country. The chapter office is in Concord with a branch office in the Belknap Mall. Last year the Chapter was appointed as the NH regional chapter by the American Red Cross. In that role it collaborates with other NH chapters and provides administrative and programmatic support to them as needed, in addition to serving the needs of communities in its own jurisdiction.
