Lincoln Financial Group Hopes to Encourage Other Corporations With Its Gift of $10,000
Concord, NH - May 18, 2006 -- Lincoln Financial Group presented Priscilla Greene, Executive Director of the Concord Area Chapter of the American Red Cross with a generous donation of $10,000. The donation will be used to provide financial assistance to victims of this week's flooding.
The check was presented by Byron Champlin, who heads the community contributions committee at Lincoln Financial Group. Champlin praised the work of the American Red Cross and said, "We are happy to be able to help our friends and neighbors recover from these devastating rains. We hope the gift from Lincoln Financial Group will spur other New Hampshire businesses and individuals to support the needs of local residents in this difficult time."

The American Red Cross has opened numerous shelters and will provide emergency assistance throughout the state of New Hampshire. Although the total cost of the disaster operation is not yet known, Greene says, "It is anticipated to be the most costly disaster relief operation that the New Hampshire chapters have seen in many years."
