CONCORD - Dec 1, 2006 - The Chapter recently celebrated the completion of the inscribed brick walkway located in the front of the new office and training facility located on Maitland Street in Concord.

The walkway, made of 4"x8" and 8"x8" grey stone bricks, is on the right of the building surrounding the American flag post and is a focal point of the landscape. A total of 273 inscribed bricks fill the walkway, each purchased by a donor to the Capital Campaign for the new building in memory of or dedication to an individual, family or business. Some are inscribed with personal messages.

Despite rainy weather, the brick walkway was recently completed. Inscribed bricks were purchased by donors for completion of the chapter office building.

"This walkway reflects the generous support of individuals, corporations and businesses during the Capital Campaign," said Priscilla Greene, Chapter Executive Director. "The bricks are a daily reminder of the commitment and compassion from our communities. We are honored to have generous donors who support the Chapter's service to individuals and families in times of need."
