Nassau Broadcasting Raises $14,195 Through Radio-thon to Help Flood Victims
 |
| Mark Edwards of Nassau Broadcasting proudly presents a check in the amount of $14,195 to Priscilla Greene, Executive Director of the American Red Cross in Concord. |
CONCORD - May 26, 2006 - On behalf of Nassau Broadcasting, a company owning several radio stations across New Hampshire, Mark Edwards, Director of Programs for the New Hampshire area stations, presented Priscilla Greene, Executive Director of the Concord Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, with a generous donation of $14,195. This money was raised through an all-day radio-thon held Wednesday on eleven Nassau-owned stations throughout New Hampshire. Thanks to the generosity of Nassau Broadcasting and their listeners, these funds will help to meet the urgent needs of hundreds of flood-affected families.
As the flood waters recede, the Red Cross plays an essential role in helping communities resume normal activities. We meet with families, providing items for critical needs, emergency financial assistance, and physical and mental health services. In addition, the Red Cross provides clean-up kits, comfort kits and referrals for other services for long term recovery.
