Chapter Joins Hannaford in Winter Preparedness TipsCONCORD - Nov 20, 2006 - The Concord Area Red Cross Chapter and the Hannaford Supermarket on Fort Eddy Road in Concord have joined in a nationally coordinated program to help families prepare to stay safe and dry this winter. The program, called "Winter Preparedness Tips," includes information on winter safety from the Red Cross and winter storm supplies available in Hannaford stores. Families are encouraged by the Red Cross to plan ahead for winter emergencies by making a kit for their homes and cars. The supplies for these kits, available at Hannaford stores, include rock salt, foldable car shovels, safety light sticks, flashlights with extra batteries, bottled water, energy bars, first aid kits and more.
