A Grateful Family Sends ThanksCONCORD - Nov 20, 2006 - The Red Cross chapter recently received this note from a local family after their house burned down last spring. This reminds us all that the work of the volunteers and staff, and the contributions from generous donors are truly essential and greatly appreciated by people facing critical needs. "Thank [the Red Cross] for its immediate and generous response to our family's needs following our house fire. The expense card allowed us to give immediate attention to clothing and bedding needs, and to begin to recover from the devastating loss of our home. We are still in temporary housing but are looking forward to rebuilding. Thank you SO MUCH for the assistance that helped us meet our children's needs following the fire!"
